Are you intrigued about cold wax and how to use it?
We are thrilled to have Instructor Patricia Lintner, May 19-22nd, 2025, teaching Creative Layers with Cold Wax.

In this fun and exciting 4-day workshop, students will explore many techniques on working with cold wax. Dive into this versatile medium and its vast array of possibilities you can do with it. Cold wax can be used for abstract, landscape, still life, portraits, sculptures, collage, and so much more!
Cold wax is made from white unbleached beeswax, alkyd resin, and odorless mineral spirits (OMS). No heat is used with cold wax. Adding oil paint, pigment powders and other particulates is part of the basics with cold wax.
Students will learn how to build layers, use various tools, working with different drying times, using masks and stencils, adding collage elements, learn composition and color and how to create unique one-of-a-kind artwork.
In Patricia’s class you will learn:
How to use basic tools, and surfaces to achieve a feel of history and visual interest in your work.
Techniques for wet in wet and dry surfaces.
Layering and texture.
Incorporate collage and other elements such as pigment powders and other particulates.
Solvent reduction to reveal underlying layers.
Mark making with various tools.

Working with color,
And much more!”
